Learning Objects
Animoto
Animoto is a useful tool. Presentations can be stored, sent by a link, embedded or sent to youtube. GREAT! It can be used in the free version or you can upgrade (longer length, more tools & music) for a monthly/yearly fee.
SlideShare -- This webtool sounds great for creating learning objects... One downfall: you can't login without using a social media account, which are generally BLOCKED on school campuses. FAIL.
Picsviewr-- Tried to log in to this program. It was blocked. REALLY? Fail. See below.

The useful potential of this program is interesting to create useful educational content. There is even an Ipad ap! (great for schools!) The site offers a free 7 day trial, but otherwise it is a tool that requires you to pay for a subscription.
Elementary teachers are $39/yr, $95/yr for secondary and faculty (college?) are $395/yr. Sounds a bit more pricey than some other tools.
This is a very cute tool for creating great looking comic strips in the language of your choice (which makes it great for foreign language instruction. Plus, it is FREE!
